The Girls Development Team Program is designed to challenge and develop the skills of young girls who seek to become competitive gymnasts. The program concentrates on enhancing the young gymnasts’ flexibility, strength, balance, and, most of all, self-esteem.

Girls on the Developmental Team who are ready to compete advance into Level 2 and progress to Level 3. The focus of these levels is to introduce gymnasts to competition in a low pressure, positive environment. In both levels, basic skills are reinforced and training is set forth by the USAG guidelines.

A gymnast in these levels is introduced to a more serious training regime for preparation to compete in USAG sanctioned competitions and must demonstrate a high level of commitment and discipline towards the sport. All Level 4-10 gymnasts ages 7-11 are evaluated for and may participate in the TOPs Program which is a program that evaluates physical abilities to identify talent.
