Boys’ Competitive Team Practice Schedule

Development Team

 

Levels 4-10


The Development Team Program is designed to challenge and develop the skills of young boys who seek to become competitive gymnasts.  The program concentrates on enhancing the young gymnasts’ flexibility, strength, balance, and, most of all, self-esteem.

 


Level 4 – 10 gymnasts receive an intensive, rigorous training in preparation for competition at USAG sanctioned competitions and must demonstrate a high level of commitment and discipline towards the sport
All Level 6-10 gymnasts between the age of 8 & 12 will be evaluated for and may participate in the Future Stars Jr. National Development Team Program.

The Girls Introductory Team Program is designed to challenge and develop the skills of 4 year girls. The program concentrates on enhancing the young gymnasts’ flexibility, strength and balance in preparation for entry into the competitive program.

 


The Girls Development Team Program is designed to challenge and develop the skills of young girls who seek to become competitive gymnasts.  The program concentrates on enhancing the young gymnasts’ flexibility, strength, balance, and, most of all, self-esteem.

   

 


Girls on the Developmental Team who are ready to compete advance into Level 2 and progress to Level 3.  The focus of these levels is to introduce gymnasts to competition in a low pressure, positive environment.  In both levels, basic skills are reinforced and training is set forth by the USAG guidelines.

 


A gymnast in these levels is introduced to a more serious training regime for preparation to compete in USAG sanctioned competitions and must demonstrate a high level of commitment and discipline towards the sport. All Level 4-10 gymnasts ages 7-11 are evaluated for and may participate in the TOPs Program which is a program that evaluates physical abilities to identify talent. 


Intensive Gymnastics Program



The Intensive Gymnastics Program is designed for the gymnast that seeks to further his/her competitive gymnastics career.  The gymnasts are put through a rigorous training program so that he/she may perform at his/her optimum ability. Gymnasts train 35 hours per week.  This program required maximum effort and commitment from the gymnast as well as from the parents/families.  All members of the Intensive Gymnastics Program will be evaluated and may participate in either the Future Stars Program or the TOPs Program.

Participation in the program is by invitation only and is determined through an evaluation conducted by the Head Coach, Norlan Perez. All gymnasts in the program must train the numbers of hours assigned and compete in state, regional, national, and international competitions.  They will also be required to attend all the competitions set forth in the competition calendar and attend the intensive summer program.
